Florida judge charged with creating hostile work environment

Orange-Osceola Circuit Judge N. James Turner has been accused of sexual harassment by four women, two of which used to work as his secretary.  The women claim that Turner harassed them by kissing, massaging and hugging them.

In May 2010, the Florida Judicial Qualifications Commission, the state agency responsible for overseeing judges, filed charges against Turner, accusing the judge of inappropriate behavior that included screaming at women in his office, showing off his pistol, and putting his feet on the bench during hearings.

In April 2010, the Osceola County Chief Judge ordered Turner to stop coming to work, but Turner continues to receive his $142,000 annual salary.
