Australian David Jones CEO resigns following sexual harassment complaint

Mark McInnes, the CEO of Australia’s leading department store chain, David Jones, announced that he is resigning for behaving, as he described, “in a manner unbecoming of a chief executive to a female staff member” at two recent company events.

The Sunday Telegraph reported that a 25-year-old publicist, Kristy Fraser-Kirk, filed a sexual harassment complaint against McInnes, alleging that the 45-year-old CEO tried to kiss Fraser-Kirk at a company party on June 7th.

Fraser-Kirk rejected McInnes’ advances, hired a lawyer, and filed a sexual harassment complaint with the company.
