Nuclear waste processing company settles radioactive discrimination lawsuit

A company called the Studsvik Memphis Processing Facility has agreed to settle a shocking discrimination lawsuit brought against it by the EEOC.  As part of the settlement, Studsvik will pay $650,000 to 23 black employees.

The nuclear waste processing company had been accused of subjecting its black employees to higher levels of radiation than their white coworkers.

In addition, the company was accused of manipulating the radiation meters of black workers to show that they had been exposed to lower levels of radiation than was actually the case.

The lawsuit also claimed that a white supervisor allegedly subjected his black employees to frequent racially offensive comments that included the N-word.
